Is it really possible to fix the iPhone screen yourself? We will see how much technical knowledge you need to implement iPhone screen repair.
Needless to say, the user experience the most common iPhone problem is cracked screen. As the iPhone is quite beautiful technology, the touch screen is made of glass, so the iPhone screen is likely to drop. So what would you do? Search the replacement screen on eBay.
The replacement screens sold on eBay are equipped with the parts and tools needed to successfully replace the screen. But how good are they?
From the rich experience of repairing and replacing the iPhone screen, I can say that the tools sold on eBay are almost useless. The tools required are Phillips screwdrivers, razor blades or other wedges and scraper, tweezers, scissors and double-sided tape or super-glued.
The first step is to turn off the phone and remove the SIM card. Then use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 2 screws on the bottom of the iPhone. This will allow you to remove the back cover. Unscrew the battery connector that holds the battery in place, and then remove the connector and the battery. The batteries are glued together, so you need to pull hard.
You need to remove the other 5 fixed shields on the top of the iPhone. Carefully remove the shroud because there are two hinges – the shroud surrounds the underside of these hinges. This is very difficult in itself, because you need to be very careful not to damage the internal ribbons and components while removing it.
There are more screws and ribbons to remove. The iPhone camera itself needs to be completely removed with the speakers and the microphone.
The insertion of the new iPhone screen is actually very simple because it is just connected to the feature area on the motherboard. However, it is very difficult to put all the parts in the correct position, and more importantly, put the screen back in the correct position because they are different sizes.
At this stage, it is more likely that a person who does not have much technical knowledge may have damaged the motherboard ribbon, or completely lost how to put the iPhone back.
The best thing to do is not to replace the iPhone screen yourself and take it to a respected, trustworthy iPhone repair shop.
